Women's Monthly Rankings: June 2nd 2023

UPDATES

* The Lineal Boxing Champion monthly ratings are produced by an international panel of 11 boxing analysts. Boxers are ranked according to ability and accomplishments in their respective weight classes. Fighters may be removed if they have been inactive for over 18 months and still have no fights scheduled.

Junior Lightweight

Maiva Hamadouche’s retirement announcement has resulted in Persoon, Choi, Shin and Mekhaled all moving up a place (however, even without this retirement, Persoon’s victory over Shin would have likely elevated her to #1 anyway). Ramona Graeff enters at #5.

Welterweight

Lauren Price enters at #5 following her 10-round-shout-out victory over Kirstie Bavington on May 6th, nudging Summer Lynne out of the top five.

Junior Middleweight

In 2020 Harper/Jonas fought to a split decision draw; since then, both have performed well at 154lbs. Jonas ended 2022 at #1, but still hasn’t fought this year, and has ruled herself out of potential fights with Claressa Shields and Harper. Terri Harper defated Hannah Rankin in 2022 and on May 27th, followed that up by unanimously outpointing former Shields junior middleweight opponent and current top-5 welterweight, Ivana Habazin – this was just enough to move Harper up one place In our ratings, switching places with Jonas.

Super middleweight

Diana Castro exits, as her last two fights have been at 154lbs – Sonya Dreiling replaces her, entering at #5.

P4P

Chantelle Cameron’s majority decision victory over Katie Taylor, in Dublin, Ireland, moves her to No.2, with Taylor and Serrano each getting nudged down a place.
